Back to Education Initiative (BTEI)

The BTEI provides opportunities for persons with less than upper secondary education to return to learning on a part time basis at flexible times and locations.

Access to education for people who left school with low qualifications;

• Improve your general education
• Up skill for better employment
• Part time courses at times to suit you
• FETAC accreditation

No fees if you;

• are on Social Welfare
• have a Medical Card or
• left school without completing Leaving Certificate

Programmes are flexible and can be adapted to the needs of particular groups.

Level 3 programmes are generally organised in conjunction with groups, please contact us for further details.

 

Level 4 programmes include, for example:

• Horticulture – Part-time
• General Skills – Computer Studies, Communications, Maths etc.
• Foundation course - Childcare, Healthcare & Social Studies

 

Level 5 programmes include Major Awards in:

• Horticulture
• Childcare
• Healthcare Support
• Social Studies
• Sport & Leisure

 

Progression to Higher Education is possible on successful completion of Level 5 Major Awards.
